When I first came to Ibiza in 1998, I was one of only three osteopaths working on the island. Now there are many people using the title «Osteopath» in Ibiza. This is both a good and a bad thing. Good because it means that osteopathy has become popular, but bad because quality of training (if any) varies widely, and it is difficult for the patient to know how well any particular practitioner has been trained. Secondly, it is not only about technical competence, but about professionalism. Does the person belong to a reputable osteopathic registering body? Do they have insurance? Do they keep proper patient records? Are they able to communicate properly with doctors and other healthcare professionals? This is why I will only recommend osteopaths registered with the Registro de Osteópatas de España. This guarantees a satisfactory basic level of competence, safety and professionalism. The list below is complete as I write in May 2026. Clearly in the future, other osteopaths will qualify and may come to work in Ibiza, and some who are here now may move away.
