Joint and soft tissue manipulation for the relief of pain is a very ancient art. Osteopathy is a system of manipulation designed to assess and treat mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and soft tissues. During the past several decades osteopathy has become widely recognised as an effective treatment for musculoskeletal and other ailments.

Each osteopath makes osteopathy their own. Like all other osteopaths, I have developed an approach which suits my own predilection. I do not believe in «putting things back in place», neither do I do «craniosacral» treatments. My approach is physical but quite gentle, and the methods I use are very effective in solving or improving my clients’ problems. Read more about my way of practising osteopathy here.

The insertion of fine needles through the skin to the tissues below to stimulate a healing response is an art that developed in China thousands of years ago. I use acupuncture, when indicated and desirable, principally in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. My method couples the observations of the ancient practitioners with modern scientific ideas and experimental findings. Read more about my way of practising acupuncture here.
